You could lower your graphics settings to see if that raises fps. Otherwise tinker with sync settings in your game and gpu. You don't need to comment if you have no idea what you're talking about. Its general information for 240hz. But, like I said, Freesync or Gsync would both be useful as they drop below 60hz/fps.
To be clear, this is a problem only with Dark Souls 3. Every other game I own that I have tried has no trouble at all. My rig: i5 7600k, GTX 1080, 16gb 3000mhz RAM. DS3 is currently installed on an SSD. What I've tried that I can remember: Running DS3 at "low" graphics settings and a low resolution (x720, x480 etc) I went into the nvidia control panel, found Dark Souls 3 under program settings, and I set Triple Buffering, Threaded Optimization and Vsync to on. I also set the Maximum pre-rendered frames to 1, Power management mode to Max performance, and Multi-display to Single display performance.

How easy to press shortcuts: Dark Souls III is an action role-playing (RPG) game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco. The game is played from a third-person perspective, similar to previous games in the series. PC version of Dark Souls III was released on April 12, 2016.

I spent countless hours trying to fix this issue a few months back, the only solution that ever finally fixed it was downloading a copy of the 1.15.0,0 exe file and replacing the one in my steam game folder (1.15.2,0). This completely removed the stutter, however because it is an older version it cannot be used to play online as far as I know. AgentRuby Jan 14, 2017 @ 3:41pm. Open Dark Souls, Go to controller settings and look at the bottom of the controller picture. That is the gyro. Click that and set it to do nothing. Also just like Turran said make the trackpad more useful. Changed mine to be 4 buttons:) Last edited by AgentRuby ; Jan 14, 2017 @ 3:42pm. 8iOKz.
