Doblo 1.3 Multijet Query Hi all, as you can tell i am new to using forums. Due to the fact that my local Fiat dealer is extremely unhelpful it was suggested that someone on the forum may have had the same problem. After 3 oil changes between 5K and 12K on my Doblo I am getting sick of the

If it wont fire i cant imagine it being a compression problem not unless the engine has had a praticial cease on some of the piston . i would check the cam timing . check the pressure on the high pressure pump when cranking the engine over . You will need a laptop and fiat multiscan which costs about 50 euro . This is were you should really start .

He told me that if you need a replacement engine as well as sourcing one from a Combo or Corsa the same engine is used in the 1.3 Astra and you can also use one from a Fiat with a 1.3 multijet engine used in the Doblo or Punto as it is the same engine. This is largely in part to the MultiJet diesel engines with the 1.6-litre emitting just 138g/km of CO2 despite a power output of 105bhp – impressive for a car and engine of this size. While there have been problems in the past, Fiat continues to improve on its reliability with the latest models proving robust and mechanically well put together.
Oct 9, 2010. #3. Diesels dont really misfire. They either run or dont. Now, fuel starvation, or fuelling problems could cause a misfire symptom, and lack of power, or there could be a compression problem on one of the cylinders. That second part is an extreme. I'd go down the fuelling route first of all.
