This is very slightly lower than what I had recorded for the Slim PS3, but not enough to make this seem like the super green alternative like we saw between the Phat console and the first slim. While in the main menu, the PS3 super slim was consuming 70 watts of electricity Test 2: In Game. Even though the wattage meter was telling me 76, it
I've read from a few different places online that the superslim has a SATA 2 controller whereas the original PS3 and PS3 slim only have a SATA 1/1.5 controller. Anyone have any proof of this or is it just some weird rumour? The southbridge chip is identical across all Slims and Super Slims, so it won't have a better controller than the Slim as I suggest the "regular" slim, it's a bit nicer all-around. The super is ok except I also don't like the disc door, and has fewer modification options. Slim all the way. Looks wayy nicer and build quality and supports cfw. Not the later slims of course. But the ones I run into all the time are cfw compatible slims. The 360S (lim) and 360E are fairly similar, with some slight differences: The S has 5 USB ports, where the E has 4. The S was the last model to feature the "AV Connector". The E drops this port in favor of a separate HDMI port and composite (ugh) out port. Optical audio appears to be missing.
The Super Slim being top loaded means it's not ideal for a narrow shelf. The Slim is however a bit larger, heavier and less energy efficient. In my personal opinion, the difference between Slim and Super Slim is not a big deal. I never regretted buying a Super Slim after getting rid of the regular Slim even though I slightly prefer the latter.

I prefer the slim or super slim to the fat, and having a separate PS2 for PS1/PS2 games on a CRT setup. For folks that want less hardware and say only one setup (with an HDTV) a fat is a nice option, though the software emulation versions have issues with specific games (Ratchet and Clank 3 for example is unplayable and runs at 1/2 or 1/4 framerate) -presumably the hardware emulation fats have
The first Slim model was the 120 GB version. It launched in 2009 and was shortly followed by the 250 GB model. The new model’s case was 32% smaller than the previous PS3 and 36% lighter.
