I've just changed my fork oil seals, fork dust seals and the oil itself. In the Haynes manual, it says the capacity to be about 317 +- 2.5c cc. I suspect it means 317millilitres? Anyway, I've put that amount in and it doesn't seem as though there's much in the inner tube.
z get a little siphon kit from wal-mart for around 5 bucks, 3 sixteen ounce soft drinks bottles, clean and dry. Remove the old oil from one of the forks into one of the bottles, and put the oil from the other fork into a different bottle. fill the remaining clean bottle to the same level as the old oil with the new oil and put back into fork, that way you have the same amount going in as you

THEN tighten the fork cap onto the fork tube to 11-22 ft-lbs (14.9-29.8 Nm), install the spring adjuster plate, replace the O-rings on the spring preload adjuster and lubricate them with fork oil. THEN install the spring preload adjuster and the stopper ring and carefully drive the slider cover into the slider.

A weak point. The forks are traditionally a little soft. The best bet is to get the wonderful people at Hagon to supply some progressive springs and 10wt fork oil.
