Simply turning start-stop off and back on will not complete a full reset of the system and thus will not resolve any issues you’re having with it. To completely reset the start-stop feature on a Ford Fiesta, start by turning the ignition on and waiting 10 seconds. Then, press the foglight switch five times in succession. Many people hate the auto start-stop "feature" that has been added to many new vehicles. In many cases, this "feature" cannot be *permanently* turned off (in some cases, it can be turned off but it returns to "on" the next time you start the car). It has to be coded off, or to remember the last setting. The dealers won't do it so you'll either have to find a third party or learn to code it yourself. My dealer recoded my '13 x3 3.5i to disable to auto stop/start as the default, and did not charge me for doing it. I believe they did the same for my wife's 340i. Smart Stop Start. Although, if you don’t particularly care for the Idle Stop & Go feature in your Hyundai, there is an option to disable it. Drivers can simply press the disable ISG button to turn OFF the system. Unfortunately, this solution is only temporary as Hyundai did not include a way to permanently disable the ISG feature.
The pry-off tool worked like a charm. I started prying from the sides and managed to get the whole panel off easily and finished the install in less than 5 minutes. The B2BFAB module disables the auto On/Off about 7 seconds after starting the car. And you can enable it back by pushing the On/Off button. If you hate the auto start-stop function on the Ford Ecoboost vehicles as much as I do, you will appreciate this modification. This modification is free, co U0WD.
